Godaddy Goes Down, Along With Millions of Sites Down With The Outage - Anonymous Member Claims Resonsibility

Godaddy, one of the largest and leading Webhosting and Domain Registrar in the world suffered from a major outage 3 hours ago.  According to Godaddy’s Tweet, every site it actually hosts went down and they are still trying to fix the problem at this very moment.
The company is aware of the problem and they are working on it, trying to get back as soon as possible. According to a recent tweet, they say that some service have been restored but they are still struggling to solve the massive outage, which I will say is one of the most Epic outage I have ever witnessed.

According to Techcrunch, the attack seems to come from a member of the famous group Anonymous. The member, known as AnonymousOwn3r, claims full responsibility of this attack and he says that he alone caused this Epic outage. The guy surely impresses many with his amazing skills. According to his tweet, he took Godaddy down, to test how the Cyber Security was and for some other reasons he cannot mention.

Below is a quote from TechCrunch:

” A tipster tells us that the technical reason for the failure is being caused by the inaccessibility of GoDaddy’s DNS servers — specifically CNS1.SECURESERVER.NET, CNS2.SECURESERVER.NET, and CNS3.SECURESERVER.NET are failing to resolve. “

AnonymousOwn3r biography on Twitter states that he is the Security Leader of the Anonymous Group. He claims to be from Brazil but he hasn’t given more reason to why he targeted Godaddy.

With nearly 52 million sites hosted on Godaddy down, the famous Down For Everyone or Just Me site seems to have gone over quota as well. This seems logical since millions of people are worried about their sites and they need to check. Major sites such as Fiverr.com have gone down with the outage. Till now, Fiverr.com is still just text.

Well, it’s just what we know for now.  If your site is hosted with Godaddy, keep yourself updated by Following Godaddy on Twitter. If you want to know more about AnonymousOwn3r, follow him on Twitter as well. This guy has surely made a massive impact on online users and he also has got so many fans who are just impressed by his amazing skills.
