iPhone 5 Receives Two Million Pre-orders In First 24 Hours

iPhone 5

Apple never misses an opportunity which it can use to boast the sale numbers of it’s new products. Everyone has been anticipating large sale numbers for the newly announced iPhone 5 and analysts have been predicting sale numbers of around a few millions in first weeks of it’s launch. Recently Apple has published an official Press Release in which it has announced the total number of pre-orders the company has received in the first 24 hours of iPhone 5 sales.

The numbers are unbelievable, according to the PR Apple received two million pre-orders for it’s flagship smartphone in first 24 hours only. Although Apple didn’t announce how many pre-orders it has received in total until now, based on this number it is safe to assume that the number will be around 3-4 million.

Due to this high demand Apple notes in it’s Press release that many buyers will have to wait until next month for their device to be shipped to them as the initial supply of iPhone 5 is not enough for everyone. The two million pre-orders in first 24 hours is a record in itself. Previously iPhone 4S was the most pre-ordered phone on first day of launch and it only received a million pre-orders last year. iPhone 4S’s number for the first day is exactly half when compared to pre-orders received by the new iPhone 5. According to Apple iPhone 5 is the most successfully launched iPhone the company has ever released up to this date.

This overwhelming demand for the new iOS 6 powered is ofcourse due to it’s stunning 4-inch Retina Display screen, thin design, and faster processor that make it twice as fast as the previous generation iPhone 4S. Other features of this new iPhone include 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and Face-detection feature, HD front camera, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, new dock connector, and much more.
